I realized I was a born writer (I used to kid my mother that I gave her ink stains instead of stretch marks) in the first grade when I wrote my first "story" about a billy goat. I knew nothing about billy goats except what I'd read in the enduring tale, "Three Little Billy Goats Gruff." I hadn't made the acquaintance of any billy goats and don't think there were any in Anaheim. In the years since, I've written countless articles, plays, radio advertising copy and scripts.
